Itinerary
Whale Watching Safari in St. Lucia can be run 2 ways.
If you have a combo with a big 5 Safari we may spend the night in st Lucia so have an early morning Whale Watching Safari.
Otherwise, we leave Durban early to get the most of the day. we will drive north to the little village of st Lucia. We will be aiming at a 9 am launch before the mid afternoon breeze picks up.
This is an exciting launch straight off the beach and through the waves. Our very experienced captain will navigate the SAFEST routes out to deeper water.
Whale Watching has a few rules but with the animals being so big you may have fantastic sightings.
The basics rules are, no swimming with the Whales, no approaching within 50 m of the whales and No, you cannot feed them.

This Safari is about 2 hours so when back on the Beach it will be lunch time. A short drive back about 15 mins. In the little village there are a number of restaurants to choose from. (own account)
This afternoon we will be back on a boat to enjoy an Estuary cruise. This is the Hippo and crocodile tour. the tour is 2 hours on an estuary cruiser looking for Hippos and crocodiles and numerous water birds.
This will be the end to a fabulous day and we will head back to Durban, arriving around 7pm.
